Our baby room cares for children up to the age of 2 years old.
Our highly qualified and experienced staff appreciate that children are competent learners from birth and they spend quality time observing the children to plan a curriculum that is both interesting and challenging.
In order to ensure that children have the freedom to explore, investigate, snuggle up, and make choices, the room has been designed to encourage sensory and heuristic, play and development. Our daily routines flow with the needs of the children and we are respectful of the routines parents have in place at home.
Each child will have their own key person within the room. Children will build close bonds and attachments to their key person. These attachments underpin all later learning and allow children to build upon the social and cultural context in which they live.
The Tweenie room cares for children between the ages of 2-3 years old.
Our highly qualified and experienced staff carry out meaningful observations as children independently choose activities and experiences. Through observation, staff not only ensure your child’s needs and interests are met, but they also enhance the provision to ensure that they build upon what children can already do and understand.
We provide children with the hands on opportunity for exploration, repetition of tasks and investigation. Physical activity and promoting healthy choices is encouraged and is such an important part of early childhood, and can aid concentration and body control.
The Pre-School room cares for children between the ages of 3-5 years old.
Our highly qualified and experienced staff create a well organised and resourced space to encourage children to become independent and self resilient. Practitioners work alongside children to develop and support their learning and development.
Quality observations form the basis of our assessments and this then feeds into planning an interesting and specific curriculum for individual children. The curriculum is flexible and adaptable as we understand that children learn at different rates. We ensure that enough time is available for children to explore and re-visit activities.
The key person supports children to make connections within their own learning and they are actively encouraged to access their individually tailored ‘next steps’ in learning with sensitivity and support. The daily rhythm of activities, meals and times for rest if needed helps children to gain confidence and feel secure in their environment.
Our planning in each room is based upon the observations, interests and needs of each and every individual child.
Assured quality care for your children…
